Bryan Hughes — Founder of Journey Home Inspections

Bryan Hughes — Fort Worth Native, TREC #21772

Bryan Hughes is a Fort Worth native and the founder of Journey Home Inspections. He and his wife Angela have shared life together since their college years, after meeting in 1993 while building a Habitat for Humanity home. That shared commitment to service set the direction for everything that followed.

Before founding Journey Home Inspections, Bryan and Angela spent over 20 years as successful small business owners, operating multiple restaurant locations including Subway and Red Hot & Blue. That experience shaped their commitment to customer service, clear communication, and building lasting relationships — values that now define how they approach every home inspection.

Today, Bryan leads every inspection with the same standard: thorough, honest, and by the book. He is actively licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission, certified, and insured. When you book with Journey, Bryan is the inspector who shows up at your door.

A Family Business — in Every Sense

Angela plays a key role in the business and brings valuable insight into the real estate process through her background and experience. Together, Bryan and Angela work to make sure both clients and agents feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

They have two daughters, both married and living in the Fort Worth area. Their oldest serves as a kindergarten teacher in Northwest ISD. Their youngest works as a nurse in women’s services, caring for families through labor and delivery, NICU, postpartum, and antepartum.

And the greatest blessing of all — Bryan and Angela are now grandparents. Family isn’t just a value they talk about. It’s the life they live every day.

The Values Behind Every Inspection

These aren’t just words on a page. They guide every decision we make — from how we schedule to how we write our reports.

Honesty

We tell you what we find — the good and the bad. No sugarcoating, no omissions. You deserve the full picture so you can make the right decision for your family.

Integrity

We do the right thing whether anyone is watching or not. Our faith guides our work. Every inspection gets the same standard of care — because every family matters.

Service

We treat every client the way we’d want to be treated. From scheduling to the final walkthrough, you are our priority. We answer every question because you deserve to feel confident.

Information, Not a Pass/Fail Grade

We don’t assign grades to homes. We give you detailed, accurate information about the property’s condition — and let you decide what’s best for your family. A home inspection isn’t about finding reasons to walk away. It’s about understanding exactly what you’re buying so you can move forward with confidence.

Detailed Reports

Same-day written reports with color photos, clear findings, and prioritized recommendations. Easy to read. Easy to act on.

Onsite Walkthrough

Bryan walks you through every finding in person. No jargon. No pressure. Just honest answers to every question you have.

Fast Scheduling

Call today, inspect within 48 hours. You book directly with Bryan — no dispatchers, no call centers, no middlemen.

Why Journey Exists

Journey Home Inspections was built on a simple foundation: serve people well, communicate clearly, and treat every home like it belongs to a family you care about.

We recognized the need for a trusted home inspection expert that families and real estate agents could rely on — someone who shows up on time, explains everything in plain language, and delivers a report you can actually use.

Our mission is to provide accurate home inspection reports that give buyers clarity and confidence — while helping agents keep transactions moving smoothly. We treat our clients the way we want to be treated.

Whether you’re buying your first home, selling a property, or building from the ground up — we’re here to make sure you have the information you need to make the right decision.
